to evey one who as read my life story it has been a road of learning and allso a road of discuvery about how my body changes over the years let me tell you know you dont get eny where moping so get on your feet and get on with life because self discuvery can be so rewarding .
to all my fellow diabetics out there stand tall and stand strong we arte the people who are the teachers foor all the new diabetics out there they may be in your family they may be naibors or your freinds .
remember life may chuck chalenges your way take it on the chine stand up brush your selth down and get on with life.

(if ur diabetic and ur low.... once uv eaten a bag of lollies... stop... itll make u feel sick lol...) and yea!!! i woulda been annoyed if i just went to the doc and got told that i had to go to hospital for a few days and then leave with a bunch of needles that id never get to leave behind!!! i think i made a great entrance into my life as diabetes

can change the clothes and expression on its face, i dressed it up all fancy and with a big smile on its face, the lady asked me y it was so happy.... i answered back with,
"She just got out of hospital and she never has to do finger pricks again"
She replied,
"no! u will always have to do your finger prick!"
And i spent the rest of the day/night crying myself to sleep, and continued to inform my mother that "i was going to die" ...at the age of 7, i was a girl lol... it makes u grow up a lot faster then ud ever know.... nobody can even imagine wat diabetes is like unless they have it.... it always annoys me when ppl "know what theyr talking bout" because theyv got an uncle with type 2 diabetes... they r just so different.... ANYWAY...
after more than 2 weeks in hospital, i came home to experience a low and me feeling sick due to far too much sugar intake!!! ..continued again! -

hey! Iv had diabetes for ten years this coming feb 1st, i was diagnosed 7 years ago... i wasnt feeling to well, and drinking fizzy drinks made me feel better (i was a sweet toothed lil kid) .... it made me feel better coz it clenched my thrist, for like 10 minutes neway.... and the stupid doctor at A and E, to keep drinking it coz it made me feel better, so thats what we did.... then one day i didnt wake up.... i was unconcious for 3 days... my blood sugar level was 100.5 u heard me right, one hundred point five, the doctors gave me a 35% chance of cuming out alive... at that time, 4 other people that had been diagnosed, 2 came out as veges, and 1 had died, only 1 other came out with just diabetes complications... silly NZ being behind in the world
but here i am today.... i remember the day i found out that id have to do finger pricks and insulin for the rest of my life.... the games lady was letting me play with a wooden teddy pictue doll thing where u can change...continued

de Twag. hace 110 semanasDiabetes yea.. diabetes can effect your life hugely.. i've had diabetes since i was 3 & 1/2.. which is maybe easier cuz u cant remember differently.. but it is a very hard thing to deal with.. I also got and insulin pump 6 wks ago.. its awesum.. I urge most diabetics to get them.. but they're not for every1.. so dont rush into getting one.. make sure to ask ur doc.. cuz mine said there r ppl she jst wouldnt give a pump too..

bein diabetic wiv an insulin pump hiya, i h8 havin diabetes but i suppose ther are worse things in life..ive had it for 8 years now n wen i wuz first diagnosed at 8 i wuz jus under 3 stone n for the first 4 yearz life wuz bad as i had uncontrolled blood sugars n once i had a realy bad fit i went unconsious n bit my tongue becoz i had gone hypo,ive had quite a few fits 2 but then i had bin given a new life as i wuz put on the diabetic insulin pump which 4 me has mad life so much betta as i can eat wot i want wen i want (within reason) even chocolate but of course i stil have 2 give my self an insulin dose evertime i eat this comes from the pump threw a thin tubing which is attatched on2 my stomach by a cathiter which has 2 b changed every 2-3 days with a needle n thats it thats al the needles i have except of course when im cheking my blood sugars which i still hav 2 do 4 times a day
de Amy hace 117 semanasdaibetes im diabettic iv had it for nine a year on the 20th of september an after i started drinking and weing allthe time i went in to see a gp and the gp missed it so afew months later i was not holding any food down and feeling verry sick so we went in to hospital and found out i had diabetes which is odd because none off my family members have it.
